Research in the Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Journal confirms the effectiveness of the CBT-i approach (Taylor & Francis, 2021)

I'm Myles ...
... a psychotherapist in advanced clinical training and a Certified CBT-i Clinician, qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i) through the Dr Gregg Jacobs’ Harvard Medical School developed programme.
My interest in this work began in a very personal way. After knee-replacement surgery, I went through two exhausting months of almost sleepless nights. I rarely slept more than three hours per night. That experience taught me how sleep loss powerfully affects every part of life. In turn it led me to the Harvard-developed insomnia programme created by Dr Gregg Jacobs.
Through dedicated study and training in the Jacobs CBT-i method, alongside my master’s studies in psychotherapy, I’ve learned how to help others unlearn the patterns that keep the body and mind from sleeping.
Across hundreds of therapy hours, I’ve seen many clients who enter therapy with anxiety, low mood and stress being made worse by persistent poor sleep. Using the structured CBT-i approach, I’ve guided my clients toward natural restorative sleep.
If you’ve reached this point of the page, you may simply want reassurance that this is a real, evidence-based service — not another quick fix....It is.
CBT-i is a practical, proven process, and you’ll have clear guidance every step of the way.

Why does my insomnia keep coming back?
Short-term sleep loss often begins with stress, illness, or lifestyle changes. When habits like clock-watching, early nights, or worrying in bed develop, insomnia can persist. CBT-i helps break this cycle by retraining how the brain and body respond to bedtime and restoring natural confidence in sleep.
Can insomnia affect mood and daily life?
Yes. Persistent insomnia often increases irritability, stress, and difficulty concentrating. Over time, it can result in low mood and anxiety. Treating insomnia through CBT-i helps restore both mental and physical balance, improving focus, mood stability, and emotional resilience during the day.
What happens in CBT-i therapy?
CBT-i is a structured process of understanding your sleep patterns, adjusting routines, and calming the mind before bed. Each session focuses on small, practical changes—like managing sleep pressure and reducing nighttime worry—so you can rebuild steady, natural sleep without relying on medication.
